A clear design process from first conversation through to construction.
Every project is different, but the principles behind our process remain consistent. We begin by understanding the site and brief, develop a clear architectural idea and progressively resolve the project through planning, interiors, documentation and construction. The scope and sequence are tailored to each commission.

01 — Discover
Understanding the project.
We begin with the site, the brief and the ambitions for the project. This stage establishes the key priorities, constraints, planning considerations, budget expectations and scope of services before significant design work begins. Where required, we coordinate early site investigations and consultant input to create a reliable foundation for the project.
02 — Design
Establishing the architectural idea.
Concept design explores the overall spatial arrangement, form, orientation and architectural character of the project. Plans, elevations and three-dimensional studies allow the design to be tested and refined while major decisions remain flexible. Architecture and interiors begin developing together during this stage.
03 — Resolve
From concept to detailed design.
Once the overall direction has been established, the project is progressively resolved. Materials, windows, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms, lighting and other architectural details are coordinated alongside consultant information and regulatory requirements. The focus shifts from defining the idea to making it precise.
04 — Document
Information for approval and construction.
The approved design is translated into coordinated architectural documentation. Drawings and schedules establish the information required for building approval, pricing and construction, with relevant consultants integrated into the documentation process.
05 — Deliver
Protecting the design through construction.
Where engaged during construction, OR Architecture remains involved as the project moves from drawing to built form. We review design queries, assess relevant shop drawings and samples, clarify architectural intent and assist with decisions that arise as work progresses. Continued architectural involvement helps preserve the integrity of the design through delivery.
