Existing character and contemporary intervention, resolved as one architecture.
Renovations require a different architectural judgement. We consider what should be retained, what can be reinterpreted and where contemporary intervention can improve the way the home functions.
Existing character and new architecture need not compete. The strongest outcomes establish a clear relationship between the two.

Each project begins with an understanding of the existing home, its character, orientation, planning conditions and the opportunities within its fabric. Retention is considered alongside change so that intervention is purposeful rather than applied.

New spaces are developed through proportion, light, material and movement. The objective is a home that functions with greater clarity while allowing the existing architecture and contemporary work to remain legible.
Planning, joinery, stone, lighting and fittings are considered in relation to the whole. This continuity allows the renewed home to feel resolved from its broader spatial arrangement through to the smallest detail.
