A considered renovation of a Victorian terrace in Middle Park, bringing the character of the original home into dialogue with a contemporary interior. A clear transition connects the retained heritage rooms with an open, light-filled living environment, where the kitchen forms the centre of daily life. Natural stone, warm timber, steel-framed glazing and softly textured finishes provide material depth. Carefully resolved joinery and restrained transitions establish continuity between the existing fabric and new interventions.

The kitchen island anchors the contemporary living space through the weight and character of natural stone. Expressive veining, considered proportions and precise detailing give this functional element a sculptural presence. Set against restrained surrounding finishes, it becomes a clear focal point within the room, bringing material richness to the interior while maintaining a measured relationship with the broader composition.
